It’s no secret that Red Roses and Petrol’s Catherine Farrell (Helen) is the elder sister of actor Colin Farrell, but we have been wondering if the talented woman has been hiding something else. Perhaps more of her own unique abilities? Curious where she’s been since making Red Roses and Petrol? The Dublin-born performer has been focusing her career behind the camera. Having worked as a production assistant on independent films in the late 90s, Ms. Farrell continued to explore similar opportunities. She served as an apprentice editor on Intolerable Cruelty (2003) and went on to work as a post-production coordinator for the Coen brothers on The Ladykillers (2004) and on their recent Oscar-winner, No Country for Old Men (2007). However, after revisiting her wonderful performance in Red Roses and Petrol, we’re hoping that Helen’s portrayer will consider moving back in front of the camera.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. If the stories of what really went on behind the scenes during the filming of Red Roses and Petrol are true, then these images speak volumes!

Dressed for Enda’s funeral, a clearly over heated Heather Juergensen (Medbh), Susan Lynch (Catherine), and Greg Ellis (Tom) bemoan the fact that yes, black really is the only acceptable color to wear in L.A.

Do you see the resemblance? Max Beesley (Johnny) had always thought that he looked like a young Malcolm McDowell, so he leapt at the opportunity to play the icon’s son.

Who’s that girl? And what is she doing touching Moya’s husband? Catherine Farrell’s (Helen) impish smile hides the shocking secret that comes to light towards the end of the film.

We all love Heather Juergensen from her standout performance as Medbh in Red Roses and Petrol. But did you know that in the same year that she made that film, she also appeared as Mrs. Silverman in Disney’s The Haunted Mansion? The comedy, which features funnyman Eddie Murphy as a realtor who brings his family to check out the creepy abandoned manor, was a huge hit. Catch the movie on ABC Family Channel on Saturday, April 5, at 2:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, April 6, at 12:30 p.m.
