World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation is pleased to announce that Red Roses and Petrol, which opened in New York, Los Angeles, and Orange County, on June 27, has been held over in theaters on both coasts. Cinemart Cinemas (106-03 Metropolitan Avenue, Forest Hills, NY) and the Regency South Coast Village (1561 Sunflower Ave., Santa Ana, CA) have both extended the film’s run by at least another week. So if you’re in the New York or Orange County areas and have not yet seen this terrific movie, please take advantage of this opportunity. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.redrosesandpetrol.com or at the theater box offices. Please spread the word!
Red Roses and Petrol’s opening celebration in Los Angeles was a huge success! Hosted by World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation and attended by the movie’s cast, producers, friends, and supporters, the party was held in a private room at McCormick & Schmick’s restaurant in Beverly Hills. While members of the press were interviewing the talent, a bagpiper entertained invited guests and the ladies were given long-stemmed red roses to commemorate the occasion. Special thanks go to the numerous members of the Los Angeles chapter of the Emerald Society who not only came out to support the movie’s opening, but also attended the party looking spectacular in their kilts! Because pictures are worth a thousand words, we just had to share a few!
Some of the critics may have lost their sense of humor, but theatergoers had a deeper appreciation for the wickedly funny-yet-poignant family dynamics presented in Red Roses and Petrol. In fact, the film was such a hit with viewers that it received a high Q rating, an indicator that it will find continued success as it opens in additional U.S. cities. If you caught one of the opening week screenings, World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation invites you to visit the official Red Roses and Petrol forum and share your own impressions.
As World Wide Motion Pictures prepares to open Red Roses and Petrol in additional cities, the film’s star, Malcolm McDowell, is continuing to do press. Recently, he took time out from shooting new episodes of NBC’s HEROES in order to complete interviews about the movie for People magazine and radio stations WCKX (Chicago), KLKX (Los Angeles), WHUD (New York), and WAAF (Boston). Additionally, look for his exclusive interview on the TVGUIDE channel when it airs next week.
