Golden Globe nominee Malcolm McDowell is returning to the airwaves next month to promote the DVD release of Red Roses And Petrol. As he did in 2008, McDowell will be doing live interviews via the Envision Radio Network for multiple morning shows in the cities of New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, and Denver. Listeners can expect the actor, who can be seen currently in Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, to discuss his continued passion for the Irish family film and his experience working with the close-knit ensemble cast and their director, Tamar Simon Hoffs.

His radio tour included chats with Lewis & Michael on KRFX in Denver; Greg, Kevin & LB on WAAF in Boston; Waggs & Elliott on WLVQ in Columbus; Johnny & Carrie on KQRC in Kansas City; B.D. & Rick on WEGR in Memphis; and Mike & Marc on WRIF in Detroit. During the interviews, the acclaimed actor described his experience playing Enda Doyle in the movie, talked about his passion for Red Roses and Petrol, and made reference to how much he enjoyed working with the young ensemble cast including fellow UK actor Max Beesley (Johnny Doyle) as his son.
As World Wide Motion Pictures prepares to open Red Roses and Petrol in additional cities, the film’s star, Malcolm McDowell, is continuing to do press. Recently, he took time out from shooting new episodes of NBC’s HEROES in order to complete interviews about the movie for People magazine and radio stations WCKX (Chicago), KLKX (Los Angeles), WHUD (New York), and WAAF (Boston). Additionally, look for his exclusive interview on the TVGUIDE channel when it airs next week.
With the Red Roses and Petrol trailers now in theaters, buzz is building about the film’s pending release. Adding to the excitement are recent interviews featuring Malcolm McDowell (Enda) and Olivia Tracey (Moya). McDowell’s interview for The New York Daily News and The New York Times (for syndication) and Tracey’s for Irish Connections and The Irish Examiner will be seen shortly in print. Additionally, McDowell’s radio interview about his experience making the movie will heard on WCKX (Chicago), KLKX (Los Angeles), WHUD (New York) and WAAF (Boston). Keep your eyes and ears peeled during the pre-opening week for this exciting, Red Roses and Petrol, press coverage.
World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation (WWMPC) is pleased to announce that Red Roses and Petrol star Malcolm McDowell has been interviewed by Nancy Mills of The New York Times for a feature story that will be syndicated in papers throughout the U.S. as the June 27 premiere date approaches. Additionally, McDowell will be on hand for a New York press junket June 6-8, which will include interviews with reporters from the Big Apple and Europe, where the movie will be released later this summer. Last, but not least, WWMPC has secured the AMC Empire 25 theater on 42nd Street as part of its New York opening. It is rare for an independent film if this size to be shown at The Empire, which is widely regarded as the preeminent theater in the Eastern United States, and we are thrilled about the opportunity.
