Red Roses and Petrol’s Susan Lynch (Catherine) is currently filming a new movie called Connolly. Directed by Adrian Dunbar (My Left Foot), the story details the life of Scottish-born political figure James Connolly (played by renowned Scottish actor Peter Mullan) as told through the eyes of his trusted daughter, Nora. In the epic tale, Lynch plays Lillie Connolly, the beloved wife of the early 20th century agitator, union organizer, newspaperman and revolutionary leader. Connolly is the first feature film for cinematic release to explain the context and the story of the Revolution of Easter 1916, which ultimately led to Irish independence. Produced by Rascal Films, the movie is expected to open in Ireland in 2009. Visit http://www.rascal-films.com/connolly for more information.
